Alfie's new tricks

Alfie has been very active this week and is beginning to get into a routine (touch wood), he even slept for 4 hours straight last night!

I'm 3 months old!!!

Hello everyone, I'm now 3 months old and feeling pretty grown up. Yesterday we went shopping and got daddy some decent suits. I didn't get anything except a cold bum as mummy changed me outside on a bench as the changing rooms were full. Everyone saw my privates which probably made their day.

This first picture is of me taking a nap before going shopping.

You can also see me having a massage, playing peekabo and hanging out with my caterpillar. The Caterpillar is good fun but he has a vibrating bottom which I think might cause him a few problems later in life.

Weighing in at 12 pounds 2 ounces

Alfie has had another appointment at the doctors and now weighs 12 pounds 2 ounces. He is also taking part in a Jolly Babies music class, aerobics (although he just sits and watches and is not at all active for this class, although having said that I think he helped mummy with her abs last week) and baby massage starts this week. He has therefore been very busy making new friends.

We are all doing fine, Alfie is learning new tricks all the time and can now hold onto a squashy ball and hit the bees on his vibrating chair. Unfortunately he has also learnt how to poo out the side of his nappy on a regular basis.




he also likes to nap on the sofa and does not leave much room for his parents.

A Bit of a Sad Day

Well Alfie's Aunt Danielle and Uncle Brattan left Bristol today for London and then on back to Asheville. He enjoyed their visit, especially their impressive rattle abilities. His Mom and Dad loved having them here, as well. The house seems a bit empty now that they are gone.
Whilst they were here, Alfie went with his aunt and uncle to Bath, a day which featured a trip to his Aunt's favourite fish and chip restaurant. He also took them to Oxford and into Bristol to sightsee and for a burger.
Danielle celebrated her 32nd birthday with us and so we all went bowling and to lunch. Alfie didn't particularly care for the noise of the bowling alley and the adults weren't too keen on the service during their lunch but on the whole it was a bang up day. Alfie cried most of the way to the train station to drop them off this morning. He obviously wanted a longer visit! Luckily, he doesn't have too long to wait as he flies out with his parents to stay with his aunt and uncle in Asheville this April. We appreciate that Danielle and Brattan made the effort to come and stay with us and can't wait to see them again.

January update

Quite a bit has been going on since we last posted. Alfie and mummy are out and about a lot more. Alfie even went on a date with a girl 2 weeks older than himself. He chose the unromantic Marks and Spencer cafe as the venue and to make matters worse slept during the whole thing. He is sleeping a lot more now and has been trying out his crib.




He is a pretty mucky boy and a bit of a slob...........



so he needs a bath fairly regularly, fortunately he has begun to really enjoy it.



Danielle and Brattan have arrived from North Carolina and Alfie has been filling them in on his life thus far.
