walking

I am a pretty accomplished walker now, after taking my first steps before Christmas. I still fall over quite a lot but it's getting easier.

Eating raspberries

A few more pictures from the holiday period

One of the pictures is of mummy and me looking at a statue the house behind is Dyrham park just north of Bath where we went for a walk last week and saw some deer.

Visit from some Tarheels

Tarheels is a term for North Carolinians. We had one of my closest friends, Rachel over for a visit along with her husband, Danny. It was great having them with us, but they were not only being toursits but trying to escape life with their two small children for the first time. I'm not too sure that staying under the same roof as Alfred counts as a break. Anyway, here are some pictures from their stay.
The structure is Tintern Abbey in Wales. The bridge is the Clifton Suspension Bridge in good ole Bristol and was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and yes, Rachel is eating ice cream in January, whilst wearing gloves.

The Holidays are a Busy Time

As the title of this post suggests, the holidays have been manic and I have no patience for posting photos with captions. These are just a few that I thought deserved to be seen by all.

Merry Christmas to all!

We had an eventful Christmas. Mommy hit a patch of ice and crashed the car into one of the stone walls that Wales is famous for. We were all okay. Grandpa came to collect us and brought a huge bar of Dairy Milk with him. I had my first taste of chocolate bar and loved it!
I had Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Joe and Aunt Katie all to myself for a few blessed days and then my cousins, Edie and Henry rocked up with their parents. I spent a lot of time practising my walking and playing with the toys that daddy used to play with about 25 years ago.
Mommy and daddy gave me somebody's old, worn out sock on Christmas morning. It had some chocolate coins that I haven't seen since and a few presents wrapped up for me to open. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt like I had seen all of my presents before. I got a great train, all sorts of treats from Egypt, and some nice books amongst other things. I also got to play with Henry and Edie's new toys. I especially liked drawing on Edie's easel chalkboard and playing with Henry's Thomas and Gordon trains.
